- The federal public water system identifier.
- Population served
- The system-reported service population in the export; not necessarily a unique resident count.
- Primary source
- EPA's source classification, such as ground water, surface water, or purchased water.
- Current violation flag
- A broad export field indicating at least one current violation; category flags give more context.
- Health / monitoring / notice / other
- Separate current-category flags. They can co-occur and are never blended here.
- Serious violator
- The current serious-violator indicator supplied in EPA's export.
- Three-year fields
- Rolling compliance counts and named contaminant/rule entries supplied by EPA.
